Marriage Mentoring

The associated costs cover the cost of the kits required for mentoring. The costs are different for mentors and mentees. Northwood Church will order your kits and have them shipped to your house, so make sure the address listed in the registration is where the kits should be sent. About Strong Marriages Marriage Mentors

1. Strong Biblical Emphasis - When it comes to helping spouses in their marriage, we firmly believe if it doesn't begin with God and His design for marriage, it simply won't work. Transferring effective communication and conflict resolution skills is essential, and we teach them throughout the mentoring process. However, these skills are always more effective with a solid biblical perspective, so we train Mentors to guide couples to use Scriptural instruction.
2. Intentional Process - Mentoring is couple-with-couple discipleship that is relationally transferred with a well-defined process. The primary goal is for Mentee couples to enrich and enjoy the marriage God designed. Mentors can succeed at guiding their Mentees to see how it makes sense to do things differently. This intentional process continues as Mentor couples effectively share what they learned with their future Mentee couple.
3. Marriage Mentors Support System - Since 2006, Strong Marriages has partnered with churches and their Marriage Mentors. The Online Marriage Mentors Training and Support System™ offers well-structured ministry management tools, role-play videos of what Mentors can expect in every mentoring session, online session reports, and many other support resources for church leadership and Mentor couples.

MENTOR COUPLES - $200 - Deposit - $ 80

A Mentor couple is a husband and wife trained to walk alongside another Mentee couple seeking enrichment or restoration in their marriage. Mentor couples should demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a sincere desire to help couples build strong Biblical foundations for marriage, and a willingness to share their time, energy, and life experiences with their mentee couple. These couples are agents used by the Holy Spirit to impart Biblical truths and introduce new tools that Mentee couples can use while facing common marital issues. 

Mentors are required to complete a one-day, comprehensive training designed to effectively equip them to walk alongside another married couple who is seeking advice and help for their marriage.  Our Northwood team will reach out to you after your register to schedule your training. You must complete the assessments indicated in your kits prior to the training. 

MENTEE COUPLES - $146 - Deposit - $60

The Mentee couple is a husband and wife who want their marriage to be different and believes they are ready and willing to change. Mentee couples are engaged with a strong desire to learn more to start their marriage with more tools and a solid Biblical foundation. 

Mentee couples are typically paired with certified mentor couples after completing the online assessments indicated in their kits and meeting with a member from the marriage mentoring leadership team.
