The Unhoused Community Ministry’s mission is to provide the unhoused community with necessary support as needs arise and to share with them the gospel and bring encouragement by showing the love of Christ. 

Starting in April 2025, we are starting a new partnership with True Worth Place, where we will be serving coffee and donuts for guests at the day shelter, as well as extending friendship and the offer for prayer. 

We have two ways you can support this ministry:

Donate

If you wish to monetarily support this ministry, go to northwoodchurch.org/give/ and choose “Unhoused Ministry.” 

You can also drop off donations at church at the Donation Center located in the Glocal Café. We are currently requesting donations of:

• Coffee creamer
• Disposable coffee cups
• Coffee stirrers
• Gift cards to donut shops to help with the donut orders

Serve

We will serve inside of the True Worth Place Shelter, 1513 E Presidio St, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

Current Safety Policies: 

All volunteers must complete a background check. If you have not completed a background check through Northwood, you will automatically receive a background check request from us (through Checkr). The background check needs to be cleared before the service day.

Please note that only adults (ages 18+) will be allowed to serve at the shelter, per shelter policy.
